I welcome open communication, patient’s understanding of their condition, and then participation in decisions for their care. To me, a partnership between doctor and patients is essential for good care. To be comprehensive, a doctor needs to consider patient’s emotional, psychosocial as well as physical health. For the young people, besides being their doctor, I would like to help them realize their potential, close the generation gap, and be proud of who they are culturally. I also strongly believe in preventive care. It is better to prevent illness from happening and to treat them.”
